ON THE BACK BURNER

Yard sale day was a little different for us. Instead of lunch, we did breakfast. Instead of having a grandson join us, my DiL joined us. Instead of maybe having just a cold day, we had a cold and wet day. The rain was really a hard mist , just enough to make your head wet and make you wish that you had remembered to bring a hat. I spent  a quarter in one place, where I bought a bird feeder and $2 in another place where I bought 2 cookbooks and took a bunch of free magazines, Better Homes and Gardens. I use to love magazines. When I did love them, they were any where from 75 cents to $1.50. Now they are so expensive that I never see any one buying them at the grocery store when they are standing in line to check out.  These free magazines that I picked up seemed slim. I think that they use to have more pages. I made ricotta cheese when I got home. I always wanted to make cheese and ricotta doesn't require much in the way of equipment. It looks like cheese and my grandson said that it tastes like cheese, so it must be cheese. I want to serve it for Sunday  family meal. i'm ready to eat it now.
