ON THE BACK BURNER

Here is why I am having such a hard time even thinking about leaving PT. My grandson and my GiL had me for Shabbat dinner. These being with family every day and special days ,these being together times ,is priceless. My grandson served a restaurant meal ,at home. My GiL almost missed the first course by being on call for the crises line. I am so proud of both of them. They are making themselves a vital part of PT life. The same for my other grandson. he is already on the board of several community organizations. He is making a home here. My son seems to know everyone in PT. And they seem to know him back.My DiL is active in the deaf community.By association with my family here, makes me feel part of this community. The other day, I opened a door for someone that I recognized from my exercise class. And I ran into a woman at a yard sale that I know from my volunteer work. so now, I am becoming part of the community. It's a good feeling and pay back time for PT. It literally took me in when Covid was at its height .The community wore masks, many still do,they used hand sanitizers ,wiped down carts at the grocery store, kept their distance in lines. My kind of people. It's comfortable here. Except for the weather, I could do worse.
