I am not complaining. At all. The sun was shinning when I got up this morning, and it shown all day. It felt so good. This does mean that I have to water the trees and the garden, but I set a timer for 25minutes and just
keep moving the sprinkler until all of the fruit trees are watered. Bob's apple tree has little apples, which is a good sign. Last year it was too productive and the apples were not good enough to use.
We are hoping for a better outcome this year. Fewer apples, but good enough to harvest. I harvested( notice the word, harvest. That's what gardeners call collecting their veggies and fruits) most of the peas. I packaged them in snack bags and froze them. I
should have weeks of peas to enjoy this winter. I also found that Dixie likes fresh peas. She likes the crunchy shell. Most of our dogs liked raw carrots. I haven't been able to get Dixie to eat any. She won't even try, but she took to the peas immediately.
I never had a garden in my other life. I was not interested . Now I am. I'm not passionate about gardening, but what little I do ,is enjoyable. My DiL is passionate and you can tell when you see her flowers. She is not so much into veggies and the few she
has, she lets go to seed and spread where ever they want. We have abundant parsley, every where. that's OK. I like parsley. I read how to freeze it so that it stays nice and green. Now I have little packages of frozen parsley. I feel so pioneer-y.
