ON THE BACK BURNER

I have a very smart sewing machine. I really wish that I had a simple Singer sewing machine. One that goes forward and backward , and that is all. My electronic sewing machine is so smart that I have an owners manual that has over 300 pages. I haven't used it to its full capacity and mostly it sits on the floor here in PT or in a closet in Venice. I shipped it here the last time I went back to Florida. I had actually forgotten how to thread it, but I found a YouTube video that showed me how. I bought this machine from a friend who does quilting when she upgraded to an even smarter machine. Buying this machine made me think that I could sew like her. It didn't. Like using a computer,it is only as good as the person putting in the information. I wanted to shorten some pants, so I threaded the machine and started to sew. It wouldn't go forward, only backwards. Then it went forward , but only six stitches and then stop, then six stitches and stop. Really frustrating. I turned the machine off, and turned it back on. It worked. I sewed my pants and now that I have the machine working, I'm looking around for sewing projects . I don't want to get too ambitious, just so I let the machine know that I am the boss. Yeah.Right.

Don't quite know how this got to me but it was on the top line of my computer (not in email) But I really enjoyed it. I truly admire you.
