I experienced wild life today. First I saw a harmless snake. This doesn't bother me anymore. They are skinny ,black and have a red stripe down their back. And my son told me that there are no poisonous snakes here. I have
the need to accept what he told me. A few years ago, my son built me a small cabinet that is kept on my deck. During the winter months, when the temperature is low, I sometimes used it to keep over flow cooked food in it when I didn't want to walk to his studio
to the extra fridge. When it got warmer, I stored gardening things in it, like my gloves, grass seed and knee pads. I had moved the cabinet down onto
the ground before the wedding because we were using the deck for a bar. Today, I opened the cabinet door and a mouse was in it. He ran to the back of the cabinet and I was hoping that he found a rear exit. I slammed the door, which was slightly swollen from
the rain, and it didn't close all of the way., which is how he , the rat, probably got in. There was no way that I planned to open the door again until
my son came home. When he did, and he opened the cabinet door, the mouse, which he said was no mouse, but a rat, ran out , as did three other rats. Those bums were eating my grass seed. Gross. Now those 4 rats are running around the neighborhood, full of my
grass seed. My son removed the cabinet from any where near me.
