Surprise ! It is raining. Again. I have been lucky in that it hasn't been too wet when it is time for Dixie's walk. If it were raining, she wouldn't voluntarily go out
, so this has been a positive for me. It is amazing how fast grass can grow in this climate. I plan on setting the lawn mower down a notch to get a closer cut. That should give me a few extra days before
I want to mow again. I did such a dumb thing that I will share it with everyone, so anyone can feel smarter than me. I needed to replace the color ink in my printer. I put the fresh ink and the old ink
next to each other on the counter. I put an ink cartridge into the proper slot on the printer. After that, I threw away the other ink cartridge. I didn't use the color printer for a few days and when I did, it didn't work. Nothing printed. I fiddled around with it, taking out the cartridge , putting it back in. Nothing. I was getting a message from my printer saying that I was low on black ink, so I ordered a combination pack, of one black and one color ink.
My grandson came over to see what was going wrong with the color cartridge... you guessed it. I had replaced the color cartridge with the empty one and threw away a perfectly new color cartridge. Luckily,
I now had the new combo package of black and color ink. There is definitely a moral to this story.. don't throw away a replacement part until you are sure that the new one is the one that is in the machine..
and working correctly.
