ON THE BACK BURNER

The sun has shone for two days, back to back. This is a first, in many months. The clouds lifted and I could see the snow capped mountains. Still plenty of snow. I took Dixie for her afternoon walk and didn't wear a hat. But the wind was blustery and cold enough for me to put my jackets hood up. The men are so cute here. They are rushing the season, wearing above the knee shorts and black tights. Maybe their tights are long johns, but they look like tights. Actually, the men do look pretty good . I am not being judgmental, but past a certain age, I wish women didn't go out in tights and a T shirt. Where's the mystic  ? I did finish mowing the front lawn today. And everything smells so green and fresh. I also planted two tomato plants. Tomatoes don't do so well here. The growing season isn't hot enough, but my grandson gave me some plants so I planted them. Last year, I got about six little tomatoes from my container planting. Maybe these tomatoes will like being in the ground with my other veggies. Dogs like to be in packs, maybe veggies do too.
