I am betting ready for a trip to Colorado. I will meet my Colorado daughter in Denver, drive to her new house near SteamBoat, visit with her and her husband, then the two
of us drive to Estes Park and spend a few days in the Rocky Mountains. I am so excited. Because I am obsessed with anything travel, I just bought a new back pack, a new fanny pack and a compass. I probably don't need the back pack or the fanny pack, but I definitely need the compass. I once took a class in using a compass. I don't think that I passed. I go by landmarks. I can tell where I have been by seeing
a house or a store. That is not much help in the woods. The daughter that I will be with, has my same problem. The two of us together could be a catastrophe in navigation. I plan to carry my cell phone and my compass in my new fanny pack. I hope that the trees on the hiking path are still marked with an orange dot for going and a yellow dot for getting back to the trail head. On second thought, I am going to sign us up for a group hike, with a hike master.
I feel better about this already.
