ON THE BACK BURNER

I always kid my son about what he has" collected" in his work shop. It is a very large space and I have not yet gone past a few formable pieces of electric saws, planers, welding stuff, etc. etc.

When I decided that I want a stove that had room for a family dinner,he actually had a stove in that back area. The name plate on the stove, incidentally, is Dixie. We restored it and it works perfectly. Then I kidded him that maybe he had a car back there. He didn't. I did  ask for a freezer and he had one. And a small fridge. You need a bike? Ask him. Maybe an antique glass window? Ask him. So, when he came to my door today and said that some folding chairs that we had been using, were  mid century and valuable, I wasn't surprised. He was about to get rid of 6 folding chairs . I guess" collectors" always check the internet before they do anything as permanent as getting rid of something. He checked and they are very valuable and collectable. Who knew.  I learned that the designer has a loyal following  . Now to convince my son to part with them. I see dollar signs, he sees folding chairs that he might not want to part with now.
