Amazon is our life line here in PT. I buy local when I can, I give tips in cash after paying with a credit card. I do everything that I can to support the local economy . However, since the town voted to keep chain stores
and big box stores out, I have to use Amazon for many of our needs. My daughter went over board on ordering things that she needed to have for her stay here. She was a little exuberant when ordering a warming tray that she uses to keep food warm over Shabbat.
It was so big ,that we didn't have a place to put it. She ordered a water heater so that they could have hot water over Shabbat. It was large enough for a small restaurant. She had to return these things
for either refund or exchange for the right size. She had never returned anything to Amazon ! I was a pro. This was something that I could help with. I walked her through the return paper work, took the two return items to the local UPS store and got the receipts.
For a change, I could do something electronically better than a kid. Even if the kid was in her 60's. Then I ruined it by having to have her show me how to pull up something on the internet. It did feel good for a little while. I'll take it.
