I haven't worn my wedding bands once I started working in the yard. Since I already lost and replaced two diamonds, I decided to not let any more of what came from the
earth, return to the earth. I can see some kid, 50 years from now, digging in this yard and finding something sparkly and his or her Mom saying that it is just a piece of glass.I don't miss the ring on
my finger, until all of a sudden I feel for the ring. Then I am surprised that it isn't where it should be. It seems to me that my finger is permanently indented where the ring belongs. Today, I leveled
off a small incline where I am starting to think about a new garden. This town is full of hills and yards are the same. We have a significant hill here. I tried leveling it when I first got here, my DiL has dumped loads of dirt trying to level it and we seem
to still have a incline. The crazy thing is ,is that just before the incline ,or decline, depending where you are standing ,is where I will be standing as the officiant . I will have a step up platform so I won't feel as if I am in a hole. Both the bride and
groom are much taller than me, so no matter where I would be standing, I need a platform. We are all getting super excited about the wedding. Count down is 20 more days.
