I feel like a traitor, but the cold, not too cold, air feels refreshing .
Dixie and I took an early, flashlight walk and we both
felt invigorated. We had a crazy night. I was very tired from sitting 4 plus hours on a plane, taking a ferry across Puget sound from Seattle to Bradenton, then a drive to PT. We had been up since 4 AM, so it wasn't a surprise that at about 6:30 PM , 9:30
in Florida, and the fact that it had been dark for about 2 hours, we went to bed. Dixie was afraid of the dark and so she slept close to me with a night light shining. At 12 :45, she woke up. I got dressed and took her out into the yard. She is always on leash
at night , but during the day, she can be out as long as I am around to spot her. She loves the wood shed, but at night, I didn't want her diving after rats. She is a terrier and that is in her DNA, no matter how domesticated she is. After a pee ,her not me
, we went back to bed, until 3 o'clock. Some baby talk was all she needed. At 4:30, we were up again, but it was close enough to my waking time of 5 , that I made coffee and called it a night. At 6, with my flashlight , we went for an official walk. That's when
I began to feel like a traitor. I won't mention this again.
