I have kids with different skill sets. The kid daughter , who is with me right now, is a minimalist . Her home represents this and now, my home( almost) represents this style. She is ruthless. I thought I was the great thrower
outer, but obviously, the kid falls a little far from the tree . We cleaned out the kitchen cabinets. Bags of Tupperware and Rubber Maid. Some with lids, many more without. Jars ,in case some day, I would
need a jar? Paper products ,in case I had a small country in for dessert. Casserole dishes that won't be used. Three coffee pots, two of which were the exact same model. My junk drawer was searched and conquered. Now it holds, neighbors key, a few pens, a
pad of paper, and a tiny bit of junk to legitimize it as a junk drawer. I have a lot of empty shelves in my empty cabinets. My spice cabinet has two kinds of salt and
one pepper. My many spices were ancient and most had no scent and probably little flavor. Some were years old. Luckily, she didn't look in the fridge, where I store my special middle eastern spices. Next
we are doing the cabinets in the bathrooms. Wait until she sees all of the tubes of lipstick that I don't wear.
