ON THE BACK BURNER

Yesterday, I took the car through the car wash. The outside is now , at least, dust free. Today, I opened the passenger side back door. Mud from wasps fell down on me. A lot of mud. I had found some on the front passenger side, but this was the first time that I opened that back door. How did they even get in there , around the inside door frame. At least there are no wasps in the car. Either they left for muddier pastures, or died and decomposed during the time that I was sheltering. I did get to the library today. That is always interesting. In PT , we have a Carnegie Library. The original building smells like a library. It has technical books and research material. It is also a silent area. The new building  that is attached to it, is over flowing with energy and life. The kids section is inviting and cozy. The main section , which isn't that large has tables and chairs for working, activity packs, that you can check out, to make clay sculptures, learn a craft, play a game. lots of activity possibilities . There is a section of paper backs that you can just take and return, whenever. They don't go on your library card. People bring in their old mags and catalogues and leave them for anyone interested. I think that 3/4 of the patrons of the library are on their volunteer list. It's a cozy place for big people ,too. One of the rites of passage for our kids , was to learn how to print their last name ,so they could get their own library card. Uchitelle took up a lot of space on the allotted line. That was a challenge but they persevered.
