ON THE BACK BURNER

I forgot that my clocks ,here in Venice, hadn't been turned back and for most of the day, I was out of sinc . I was wondering why the sun was still out when I knew that 24 hours before, at this time,it had been been darker. Poor Dixie is confused. She walks into things, she doesn't know about the one step down when you leave my condo. I don't think that she knows where her water dish is. She'll catch on and then it will be  time to go back to PT and she will be confused all over again. I went to the grocery store and was pleasantly surprised to see all but one customer with a mask. I expected differently. When I got into my car, I had forgotten  where the shift was. I sat in the car  a few minutes just looking around the dash to see what I had to do. I do like this car more than the one in PT, it has remote and I can adjust the seat, trunk and back doors  automatically. You  don't realize how nice  it is to be able to adjust the seat, until 3 or 4 different people use the same car and everyone is a different height. Everyone knows when I drove the car. The seat was almost on the steering wheel . I opened the rear door on the drivers side to put my groceries in and a hornet had made a nest in a crack . The  dried mud fell out when I slid the door open. That was an unwelcome surprise.
