ON THE BACK BURNER

I am counting down until I leave for Venice. By 10 AM ,I will have visited my local dermatologist for a skin check and then my local dentist for a routine visit. I guess that means I have spread roots here in PT. When I played Mah Jongg this week at the Community Center,I didn't mean for this to happen, but the ladies embraced me at the end. That made me feel really good. I can look forward to coming back . I don't have the sense of family of choice as I do in Venice, but that's OK.  In Venice, I was drawn to my special friends, first by circumstance. We were all from some place else, we had no family members  to call on, we were all members of the same Congregation. Here, none of this is the same, what brought us together was a Mah Jongg . Then, week by week, we are finding that we are pretty much alike. Thank you Mah Jongg .
