Today, I did what teen age kids in a 50 mile radius ache to do. I spent the day at a shopping mall.I understand that spending a day at the mall ,for a certain age group,
is what to do. And parents gladly drive the kids there and back. Too many miles to make a round trip, so everyone stays. Everyone gets something that makes them happy. I was happy, too. I got to spend the day with my grandson ,who accompanied me, and I got
to over spend my allowance. We ended the adventure by stopping at a special market with a lunch counter that serves Chicago hot dogs, green neon relish and all. We did have a delay at the Hood Canal Bridge.
We were stopped so far back, that we actually never found out why we were stopped. This bridge is a floating bridge the joins two peninsular. The canal, is not actually a canal,It is a fjord, is 68 miles
long before it empties from Puget Sound where we are to the Ocean. It is also salt water. The bridge swings open for boat and submarine traffic. I have been over it about a dozen times, going to the airport or to Silverdale, where the malls are, and I always
wished that I would see a submarine. Maybe some trip I will.
