Friday is my busy day . The only way that I can get everything into the day, is to start the day at 5 am. I always wake up around this time, but Friday's put more pressure
on me. I start the first challah dough before I have my coffee. Then it is coffee time. Dixie is a late sleeper, so I have time to make the " boys"
sandwiches ,have more coffee, then have Dixie time. We have our ritual. Don.'t laugh, but I sing to her," good morning, good morning, you slept the whole night through, good morning, good morning to you". I think this is from an old Debbie Reynolds,Gene Kelly
and Donald O' conner movie. The song went," I danced the whole night through". Then it is walk time, feed Dixie time, shape the dough into challah time, bake first challahs, make another batch of dough, give
my son his lunch, go to exercise class. Come home and bake second batch of challah, so we have four, one for each house hold, then walk my grandson's sandwiches to the studio where he is working. I use to drive the last challah to my other grandson, but his
new job lets him pick it up here, when he hasn't a full freezer of bread that he has made. I do all this early, because then, it is me time and I play
Mah Jongg with a group of new people, in the afternoon. That's my reward for all of the hustle bustle. After all, it is all about me.
