ON THE BACK BURNER

we filled my propane tank today and that means that I take my son to lunch. We always pick up some food and go to the shore and eat. A few months ago, we went to Fort Worden and we were so lucky because we saw Orca's. Two of them, just playing close to shore. Today, we went to the same spot and saw a Seal. I would have liked for the Seal to have had a companion, but it didn't. This was the first time that I think I actually saw a seal in its natural habitat. It was a beautiful day, sun, blue skies, some wind. My cell  phone gave a blast that I knew to be either aSilver alert or an Amber alert. It was a weather alert. Tornado warning in the next county. I read that there has been some significant weather around us, but not here. Much later ,the sun went  in, the wind picked up and it is pouring. I can hear it on my roof and see the rain on my windows. I am so lucky to have seen  sun, blue sky, and a seal ,all in the same day. I hope the tornado didn't touch down and everyone has sun and blue skies and maybe a seal sighting.
