ON THE BACK BURNER

When I went to write this,I wondered, out loud, wha5 did we do today that was even note worthy. We weren't  note worthy,  but we did have a lot of family, come in and  out. It was cold, wet and very windy . I did  see snow on the mountains this morning when I walked Dixie. We had a stream of the family come into the pod. My tea pot never cooled off. We decided that this was a reincarnation of our cottage and we named this Sandlake NW . We sat on every surface, including two folding chairs that I" borrowed" from the big house. The only one not happy was Dixie because she didn't have my undivided attention. My daughter and I ate the same food for dinner, only  she had a Kosher meal on the new plates we bought and I had the same dinner on my regular dishes. It was cute! We are getting a rhythm about doing dishes, and cooking.I am having so much fun with so much company that when every one leaves, I'll probably sink into a deep funk. I can  practice being a Jewish mother , put my hand to my forehead and say something like, " so go, just leave me here where it rains and is cold, I'll be OK all by myself,no friends, just alone with my dog". I don't think they'll buy it, but I can try.
