I learned a valuable lesson today. You can't substitute a crock pot for a stove top pot. I thought that ai could make veggie chili ,using my crock pot as a pot. If I had thought it through,and started hours earlier, it would
have worked. if my insta pot were larger, that would have worked. That's Ok. I transferred everything into two pots, used the stove and dinner went off without a hitch. Today was particularly physical. All of a sudden, my son realized that we would be having
two visitors, back to back. My daughter from Colorado is coming and a few days later, my daughter from Israel will be here. My son has building materials on saw horses outside of his work shop. The wind we had a week ago had a lot of leaves fall. Because of the drought, I didn't mow the lawn and the grass inside of the cages that keep the deer from eating our fruit was really high. So in a few hours, we
removed the cages , I mowed, the cages went back,the lumber was put in it's proper place and the yard looks pretty nice again. Then we had our family meal and with a full belly, I am ready for bed. Dixie is already curled up on her side of the bed. She didn't
have to do the dishes.
