Florida. Yes, I am planning to return to Florida. Then, much to my surprise, I found that I can't just put my bike on a plane and fly away. It has a lithium- ion battery. That is considered HazMat material. I know AA batteries, AAA batteries, and batteries
for my hearing aids . Period. That put me in a funk. HazMat means special handling. You are duty bound to handle this kind of battery according to the FTA.rules. No wrapping it in your towel and trying to pass it off in your luggage. So, do I have the bike
shipped ,ride it for a month and then get it home, or, do I ask to have my delivery held up and sent straight to Florida. Doesn't work like that with the company that I am dealing with. So, the bottom line is that I will have it sent to PT ,as planned. Then
I will fly with the bike ,sans the battery. The battery will be wrapped as required and shipped by either Fed Ex or UPS. Life is not simple. It's complicated.
