I think that it is supposed to be Labor Day,but no one told PT. I had a dentist appointment and later, I played Mah Jong at the city community center. My son went to work. Back in the old days ,this was the day we took our
raft out of the water. Bob rowed to the raft, a daughter dived in and pulled up the anchor , a bunch of kids jumped on the raft to be towed to shore and then all hands on to lift the raft, and turn it up side down for a long winters nap on the beach. And ,it
was usually a grey, cold day. We often left for Chicago after this. We didn't close up the cottage because we had a few more visits to get in before we drained the plumbing and put the canoe and row boat away. A ritual , every night was for Bob to row us around
the lake in the canoe. We joined a parade of everything that floated ,going slowly around our lake. Ah, fun , fond memories of our special place.
