I spent hours watching a video on YouTube about how to macrame a lawn chair. It was simple. Anyone could follow the video and do it. But I kept doing something wrong.
Like making the same mistake over and over again. I still don't understand why it was so difficult for me. This isn't the first lawn chair that I have resurrected, although it has been years since I did my last one.. and there was no YouTube to help. I remember
using an old fashioned book, with pictures. But I persevered and am on my way with restoring it. I am such a princess that the macrame yarn is beginning to irritate my hands and now I will have to
stop for awhile. That's OK with me because I am also reading a very interesting fiction book, named,"The Lost Shtetl". A town in the woods of Poland was lost for centuries. The people never ventured out of town, seldom did anyone come in, so they knew nothing
of the world wars, the Holocaust, Israel, running water, toilets. They thought that a helicopter that landed there when the town was discovered was bringing the Messiah. Reading the book works well with making
a macrame lawn chair.
