ON THE BACK BURNER

Yard day sale and I hit the jackpot. I say that every time, but this time, I did . A pink metal yard decoration bike. How come no one else bought it? My day, I guess. And a baby elephant for our big golden girl, Ella Faye. When Ella Faye gets a new paint job for the wedding, we'll paint the baby the same color. This shopping adventure ,of course, was followed by lunch. Vietnamese. Their bread makes the sandwich. I could just take the bread and a big lump of butter and be very happy.  The Vietnamese restaurant is across the street from the waterfront,so we can take our sandwiches and eat and watch boats  either sail by us, motor by us or barge by us.  It's amazing how connected  we are through a water way. That barge could have come from China,on to Seattle, then onward, maybe Great Lakes, to Chicago, Atlantic Ocean, and New York, Gulf of Mexico., to Venice. I hope that the barge knows that I am in Port Townsend and not Venice. The last thing  that I ordered from Amazon could be on that ship !
