Today was yard sale day and take your Mom out for a spin. We got an extra bonus when a grandson and his girl friend came over at 9 am to go sale- ing with us. We caravaned,
with them following in their station wagon. We had a great time. They bought a piece of furniture, which went in our van, my son bought another tool, and I bought a cook book. We picked up lunch at a place that had a front of an air plane , I think it was once
a real one, as their front of the restaurant. It's a little hard to describe, just use your imagination. Everything is cooked to order, so you go in one at a time,go back outside and after an appropriate length of time, if no one else is in the place, you
go in to check on your order, and pick it up , if it is. We have our tradition ,when we go there, to then take our hamburger and fries and drive down to the water and eat at some picnic tables set up there. Here inPT ,you don't always want to go to GoodWill
to donate things, so what you do, is put a box out on the curb and a sign, or not, that says free. The protocol is to take the whole box, not pick through it and leave just the junk. At least that is what my grandson told me. I got it all wrong. I was leaving
the junk. Now I know. The end of this story is that this same Grandson, picked up a box of free stuff and found a number of things that he thought I would like. And I do. All I can say is that he is a third generation dumpster diver .
