It was so grey and cold, that I had the thought to check if the mountains had a snow cover yet.Too grey and low clouds. Couldn't see the mountains. Maybe another day I can check. My Colorado daughter said that they had snow
at 8500 ft. We spent over 20 years ,in August, at the YMCA of the Rockies at Estes Park, CO. and I don't remember snow. I do remember cold and I do remember slurry planes dropping fire retardant to try
and squelch the fires in the forest. I also remember George W coming for a photo op and everyone at the camp who wanted to have a picnic with him , had to register their social security numbers for security clearance. If you did or did not approve of him,
he was the President and Bob and I went. Anyway, the lunch was free. and I got to see security actually talk into their wrist. They all wore dark sunglasses. And there were sniper people in place .Just like in the movies.
