I needed to make rolls for sandwiches for my son and grandson. I had bought my last supply of yeast from Amazon. I had it in my head that I would now, never run out of yeast. I couldn't believe that I did. I didn't believe
it so much ,that I took everything out of the freezer, went to the studio where there is another freezer, looked through everything ,until I convinced myself that I was really out of yeast. I don't think that I have ever gone to the store for one item , and
then actually come home with just one item.,
. In fact, when I got to the cashier, he said" This is it?"Even he was surprised. I did have a moment with a couple
in the grocery. The jar of yeast, naturally, was higher than I could reach. I sometimes stand on the bottom self to reach that top shelf, even though I know that it could be dangerous for me. This time,
I saw a couple walking down the aisle and I planned to ask the guy to reach the yeast for me. But half way down the aisle, they turned around and started walking in the other direction. I called out to them , they turned back and the guy came to help me. Then
we had a really nice conversation about kneading bread and baking. I was making Kaiser rolls from a new recipe and I learned something new. You can buy a Kaiser press that marks a pattern on the raw dough ,that when you bake the roll, you get that Kaiser roll
shape. I never knew that. So, of course, I went to Amazon and ordered one. There is always something that I need at Amazon. I never run out of items to buy. Just when I think that there is nothing more that I need. I find that there is. A Kaiser marker. Who
knew?
