This may be the warmest night this season. Dixie is limp. I will have to turn on the AC for her. I, naturally, choose tonight to make my challah dough and then bake a
dozen and a half hamburger size buns for sandwiches for next week lunches. I usually get a wonderful breeze from the woods, but not much is moving and today has had very poor air quality with smoke still coming in from Oregon. I got really excited when I went
to the grocery. There was a car with out of state license plate. Oregon. That is a big difference between Florida and Washington. At the grocery parking lot in Venice, there are cars from almost every state. I even saw an Alaska plate once. Here, it is almost
always Washington. Occasionally, there is a California or Oregon plate, but mostly not. I saw an Illinois plate one day and I wanted to honk the horn. My grandson had a friend go to his house in DC and
find his Cubs hat and mail it to him. I found a Wisconsin sweat shirt at Good Will last week and I bought it. You can't miss me when I walk Dixie in the cooler morning. The shirt is plenty big and bright red. I am stymied on my landscaping project until my
son can take all the debris that I racked up, to the dump. I've gone with him or my DiL to the dump a few times and it is disappointing. It's clean and orderly and the workers are ready with tractors that push everything
into clean , neat piles. I was expecting to find " stuff" that could be a real creative find. Guess I have to stick with Good Will.
