ON THE BACK BURNER

I am still working on a section of the yard. I really get my heart rate up pulling out all kinds of questionable junk. So far, I have pulled out more drain gutter pieces, and some strange metal pieces that look like they may be from a metal bed frame. The pieces are covered in dirt and roots of whatever is growing over them. I have to dig, use a pick and some huffing and puffing , along with pulling to get the pieces out. It is the kind of exercise that I love, but after I dig one piece out and before  I get to the next discovery, I have take a time out to get my heart rate calm. While I am doing this, Dixie either sits right where she is in my way, or she explores the wood shed, her favorite place. She is a terrier, so digging under the wood piles and burrowing under ladders, is just what she was bred for. It's really the only thing that she does that is dog like. Otherwise, she is a complete couch potato.I am still not completely sure what I will do after I clean up this area of the yard. One of my finds is a concrete sink, like a laundry tub .I was thinking of making a water garden in it , with water lilies and plants like that. Or maybe a Japanese type garden with pebbles ,sand and bamboo. I'm still thinking. There is a lot more to clean up.
